Youth Advisory Group

Youth Advisory Group

Directions Health Services is committed to ensuring that our youth clients not only have a voice about the services delivered to them, but are enabled and supported to contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of our services. The Youth Advisory Group’s purpose is to develop stronger linkages between the people who access our services and the organisation.

The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is comprised of a mix of youth clients including those with lived experience with Directions Health Services programs, and meets five times per year. The YAG meet to provide consultation and advise to the Directions’ Community Advisory Group and Directions’ Executive Management team to ensure that services:

  • Are informed by and responsive to client needs;

  • Are delivered in partnership and support clients to achieve their goals; and

  • Result in improved outcomes for clients, families and the community

YAG members provide input on a wide range of actions including strategic planning, processes and model of care consultation, accreditation participation, recruitment panel participation and consultation to, and participation in, research and other projects.

If you’re interested in joining the YAG, reach out to your local Directions service or program or email us at yag@directionshealth.com.
